You Get an Upgrade! You Get an Upgrade!

As with most things in life, if you don’t change with the times, then you don’t grow with the times. The same is true for video production companies like Atomic, so we’ve updated our video edit rooms and added an audio post-production suite to offer a more well-rounded solution to our clients.

“Our number one goal is to give our clients a top-notch experience from concept to shooting to post production,” says Atomic Productions Executive Producer Danny Angotti. “So, we are changing things around so that every edit suite has a specific purpose now. For instance, we are building a color correction suite and an audio suite for sound production.”

Atomic’s edit suites also got upgraded with 98” 4K QLED screens.

The color collaboration room features DaVinci Resolve and Color Control Panels.

The new audio post-production suite is the most significant change to Atomic’s facility.

“Now we can handle different projects and become a one-stop shop,” Danny explains. “The audio suite expands our creative offerings and enables us to offer new services for existing and incoming clients.”

Full-service creative sound design, mixing, composing, and mastering services are available to Atomic clients needing high-quality audio for their projects. It also provides a place for clients to record voiceovers.

Johnny Small, Atomic’s resident sound designer and composer, is making his home in the new audio suite. Johnny’s experience includes a series of electronic music offerings (you can find him on Apple Music, Spotify, and Soundcloud) and film soundtrack work.

In addition to his ongoing motion graphics and editing assignments, Johnny is working on a documentary that Atomic is working on along with an Academy Award-winning producer about a San Francisco Bay Area sporting legend.

“Music has always been a love and something I’ve done during my free time,” Johnny says. “I’m excited to offer custom scores to our clients and give them something to help make their productions pop.”

The concept of the audio room started with the idea of building a space designed to Dolby Atmos specifications. From there, Atomic purchased gear to support the promise of Atmos, including Genelec 8330A SAM™ and 8340A SAM™ studio monitors with Genelec 7360A SAM™ and 7370A SAM™ subwoofers. The room features 16 Universal Audio Apollo Thunderbolt audio interfaces, a Marantz AV7705 11.2CH 4K Ultra HD AV Surround Pre-Amplifier, and a BDI 8/16-8D switcher for audio processing.

“All of this together gives us more capabilities,” Angotti says, “and opens the door for us to do other creative projects like documentary and film production. We’ll always be experts at shooting, editing, and adding graphics for video projects. Now we can do a lot more.”

Atomic Productions is a full service film production company driven by customer service and creativity. Oh, and we watch Jeopardy during lunch.
